Disabled Sportsman of the year

She is a Nigerian Paralympic powerlifter. She has represented her country at six consecutive Paralympic Games from 2000 in Sydney through to 2021 in Tokyo. She has won medals at each, three gold, two silver and one bronze. She won a further silver medal at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth games women's lightweight category of the Para Powerlifting event behind compatriot

Individual leading inclusion in the public sector

Mr. Oluwadamilare Jamiu Ogundairo, joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2016 and served as a Public Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Information and Strategy. He is also a freelance Presenter at the Eko FM 89.75 as well as a Resource Person for Disability Advocacy initiatives. Mr Dare Dairo is the current General Manager, Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs an office that seeks to uphold the rights of all Persons Living with any form of Disability (PWDs) in Lagos State by safeguarding them against all forms of discrimination and giving them equal rights and opportunities.

Individuals leading inclusion in Civil Society Organizations

Tobiloba has over 10 years experience working with various organisations in the Disability Management sector in different countries. She holds a degree in Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. She also holds a Masters Degree in International Law. She started by working on Disability Policy as a member of the Nigerian Vision 20:20: 20 policy drafting team, and went on to work with various NGO’s in a quest to improving the lives of persons with disabilities. In 2017, she Launched ‘The Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation to promote inclusive mainstream education for children with Cerebral palsy in Nigeria. and realities.

This was born out of a realization in 2016 during her Mandela Washington Fellowship, Professional Development Experience; that children with Cerebral palsy were being excluded from mainstream education by the school system in Nigeria. To date, the project has provided support to over 250 children and their families and enabled over 70 of these children access inclusive education. Each family under the project access continuous counselling, referrals, school placement supports and school readiness assessments.The project has also trained over 400 Teachers in its bid to address the knowledge and skill gap of mainstream classroom teachers to engage children with Cerebral Palsy in their classrooms. Tobiloba is also a 3 time published author that believes strongly in the power of words to create a change in perceptions

Urionu Ngozichukwuka studied Business Administration in University of Lagos. She also has an MBA in Marketing Management from Trinity University College Dublin through the professional global training institute United Kingdom. Ex-banker turned Brand Communication / Media consultant. She is also a UN women trainer on financial inclusion. Holds certifications in several areas. Uri has blazed all aspects of media from TV/Radio Newscasting. Script writing. Developed content for TV and Radio.

Her company April Benjamin and Dawn Communication limited over the years have blazed the trail in Content Development for Radio TV and Terrestrial media. Producing Documentaries, Short Dramas, Commercials , 360 degrees Media Campaigns for clients, and Integrated Public Relations. Uri is an experiential marketer and a believer in the increasing adaptations of New Media and digital skills. She is a guest news presenter. Public Relation Strategist, Reputation Manager and Image Curator.

She has produced several documentaries, jingles and led numerous successful brand communication campaigns. As an inclusion Advocate she is the convener of Empathy Driven Women International Initiative ( EDWIIN). A non profit organization that focuses on women and girls with disabilities . EDWIIN has also worked with the IDP CAMPS and her work has been featured on CNN Inside Africa. Her NGO has also won several awards in humanitarian activities.
